High School Education and STEM
Arizona high schools emphasize STEM through specialized programs designed to prepare students for rigorous university coursework. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. This Arizona Constructivist website makes every attempt to take into consideration what is taught in STEM and what direction it's classes point it's students towards, particularly to courses and programs offered by the University of Arizona and Arizona State University.
There are also two variations of STEM: STEAM and METALS. Here at the Arizona Constructivist we identify heavily with the STEAM program which integrates arts into the STEM framework.
